With election season in full swing in the fall, the League of Women Voters of Wayland and the Wayland Chinese American Association invite interested residents to join them for an educational forum on everything you need to know to participate in the upcoming elections. The forum will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd in the Senior Center in the Wayland Town Building.
Participating in the forum will be State Senator Richard Ross, State Representative Carmine Gentile, Assistant Town Clerk, Diane Gorham, Selectman Chair Cherry Karlson, Finance Committee Chair Dave Watkins, and Town Moderator Dennis Berry. Nancy Brumbach will represent the League of Women Voters.
The agenda will cover the
- election process, including voter registration; online voting, early voting, and absentee voting; and the upcoming State Primary on Thursday, September 8th, and the Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 8th
- Town Meeting process, including warrant preparation, budget development, and Town Meeting procedures
- Legislative process in the House and Senate
- Ballot questions on the November ballot
- Helpful voter resources
