OARS 30th Annual River Cleanup is on Saturday, September 17 from 9 am to noon. Volunteers will walk along the banks or wade into the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers and tributaries to continue the effort to restore our beautiful rivers. Trash, tires, bottles, car parts, bicycles – whatever we find that shouldn’t be there – will be collected for appropriate disposal. There is lots of work to be done. The morning of hard but rewarding work will be followed by pizza celebrations along the rivers.
This year, we will be working in Westborough, Northborough, Framingham, Wayland, Sudbury, Marlborough, Hudson, Stow, Maynard, Acton, Concord, and Billerica.
We hope you will join us. To volunteer, please call 978-369-3956 or office@oars3rivers.org. Visit us at www.oars3rivers.org.
OARS is the watershed organization working to protect, improve, and preserve the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers, their tributaries and watersheds for the purposes of public recreation, water supply, and wildlife habitat.
