Sudbury Valley Trustees is offering a guided paddle to view the fall foliage surrounding historic Fairhaven Bay. Join experienced paddlers Jim Lagerbom and Susan Crane to paddle along a lovely stretch of the Sudbury River on Saturday, October 8, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Fairhaven Bay has been written about and visited by Henry David Thoreau. Fairhaven Bay is a deep glacial kettle hole, similar to Walden Pond, but found in the middle of the river. The program begins at the canoe launch off Route 117 in Lincoln. Participants must provide their own boat, paddles, and personal flotation device. Sudbury Valley Trustees members $10, non-members $20.
