Wayland Safety Day and Shelter Exercise March 22, 2014
Saturday, March 22, 2014, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
at the Wayland Middle School

Come and see what to expect if you need to use the town shelter in the event of an emergency. Learn what provisions will be available for your family and pets. The Wayland Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) will be holding a safety fair and shelter exercise at the Middle School.

This safety fair is open to all: seniors, adults, children and pets. Learn how to take care of yourself, your family and pets in the event of a major disaster such as a blizzard, hurricane, tornado or power outage. Learn what items you should have at home for an emergency in the event you cannot leave and must shelter at home.

Blood pressure monitoring will be available. Also, there will be CPR, first aid and other safety-related demonstrations. Refreshments will be available at the shelter.

Join us on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wayland Middle School. You will receive a lot of disaster information and will have the opportunity to assist in the shelter exercise. For more information, contact: Joseph Gordon, CERT Coordinator, at gordon@waylandcert.org or Joseph Boykin, CERT Coordinator, at (508) 245-9398.
