Issi’s Love Buzz (and Concert), January 17 at Wayland High School to benefit Lucy’s Love Bus for kids with cancer

My name is Isabella Carrara. I am 11 and I am in fifth grade at Claypit HIll School.

I will be shaving all my hair off on January 17th at the Wayland High School Auditorium. I will cut as much hair as I can to donate to the making of wigs for cancer patients. The rest will be buzzed off ! I am hoping to raise $5,000. About $1,000 helps one child with cancer for a year with integrative therapies: massage, horseback riding, art therapy, really any therapy that the child wants.

If I reach my goal, this will help about 5 kids with cancer for a year. The foundation that I am donating to is Lucy’s Love Bus. They are the ones who bring all the soothing therapies to the kids with cancer. They truly deliver comfort to children, and I would like to see this happen more. Also – if I reach this goal? The director of Lucy’s Love Bus will shave her head right along side me!

On Friday January 17th at at 7:00 PM there will be a free concert at the Wayland High School – with 2014 Grammy nominated Alastair Moock, the HS Jazz Band, raffles, a skit or two – and everyone is invited! A few other kids & grownups will be shaving their heads, but you don’t have to. I appreciate your support either way – hope to see you there! Event flyer is online here.

On Monday January 13th – It’s Issi*s Love-Buzz Night at Orange Leaf – proceeds to go to the charity.
