Wayland Town Crier 2/22/14: Travelship given to Wayland elementary schoolteacher. he 2014 Mary L. Johnson Travelship Award has been awarded to Gretchen Knox. Knox has served as an elementary schoolteacher for 28 years, having worked at all three Wayland elementary schools during that time. She worked for 26 years in the fifth grade and is currently a second-grade teacher at Happy Hollow. She is known to be a kind and thoughtful educator who is creative in her approach to teaching her students.
