Preview of October 28, 2013 meeting of the Board of Selectmen

The Board of Selectmen will meet on Monday, October 28, 2013 in Wayland Town Building beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will begin by reviewing the meeting agenda for the viewing public, making announcements and holding public comment.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., the Board will interview Robert Goldsmith for a vacancy on the Conservation Commission. At 7:25 the Board will review financial reports with the Finance Director followed by a joint meeting with the Audit Committee. Scheduled for 8:15 pm is a joint meeting with the Personnel Board to hear a presentation and interview the Collins Center for their proposed services for the Town Administrator search.

At approximately 8:55 the Selectmen will review the consent calendar, review correspondence and listen to the report of the Acting Town Administrator. Following will be an executive session planned for collective bargaining strategy discussions with Police and Fire unions, and a review of executive session minutes from October 7th with the potential of releasing those minutes in open session. Selectmen’s reports and concerns will be discussed at approximately 9:55 pm. The meeting is planned to adjourn at 10:15 pm.
