Interested in serving on the WHS Principal Selection Advisory Committee?

WHSPO is looking for four interested WHS parents to serve on the WHS Principal Selection Advisory Committee. The Committee will be tasked with sorting through all resumes for the new WHS principal, choosing candidates for interviews, interviewing these candidates, and recommending finalists for consideration. There is a significant time commitment (including three full days during the fourth week of January) so please be sure to check your schedule before throwing your hat in the ring! Here is how the process will work:

1. All interested parties should complete the High School Principal Interview Committee Questionnaire, and send it to the high school no later than December 10, 2013. The questionnaire should be sent to Maria McGrath, WHS Main Office, with “Principal Search Committee” marked on the envelope’s exterior. Alternatively, the questionnaire can be emailed directly to Maria McGrath. The questionnaire and full committee schedule can be found online here.

2. The WHSPO Board and committee chairs will sort through the questionnaires in an effort to select four parents that best represent the diverse WHS parent community. The final four parent representatives will be selected on December 13th and their names will be sent to Superintendent Paul Stein.

3. On December 18th, the entire Selection Advisory Committee, including the four selected parents, will meet to review process and procedures.
If you are unable to serve on the committee but still interested in having a voice in the selection process you can still participate! Open forums during which parents, staff members, and students will be given the opportunity to interview and hear from each finalist will be conducted during the last week in January.
