Wayland Town Crier 5/17/14: Wayland native makes long road to recovery. Jeremy Pivor of Wayland was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November 2003 when he was just 12 years old. After suffering a seizure playing hockey during gym class, he was immediately brought to Boston Children’s Hospital, where he was diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma, a brain tumor very rarely diagnosed in children.
