Boston Globe 6/13/14: A welcome role reversal. It was a working mom’s worst nightmare. Two weeks before (Wayland resident) Peggy Duggan, a surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, was to return to work after adopting twins from Cambodia, the day-care center said there wasn’t enough space for both babies. Distraught, she called her husband. “I told her not to worry,” recalled Joe Karbowski. He took care of it, all right. He quit his job to become a full-time dad — raising the kids, cooking dinner, and doing laundry.
