Wayland Town Crier 8/4/14: Wayland police chief supports legislation. Wayland Police Chief Robert Irving recently joined Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and other police chiefs at the State House to support legislation passed by the House of Representatives (H 4285). The legislation would allow chiefs of police to refuse to issue a Firearms Identification Card to a person they determine to be unsuitable to possess a weapon.
