A Wayland man arrested for drunken driving on Wednesday after driving in the wrong lane begged police not to arrest him, authorities said. John P. Evangelista, 42, told police his brother-in-law was a police officer in New York and asked them to not arrest him after pulling him over on Glezen Lane at 3:14 a.m., according to a Wayland police report filed in Framingham District Court on Wednesday.
