Wayland Student Press 12/19/14: Students protest against police brutality. Students gathered in the Media Center to protest the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner and the decisions of grand juries not to indict the police officers who killed the two men. At 11 a.m., students and a few faculty members dropped to the floor around the circulation desk and laid down for 4½ minutes. Except for a few whispers, the Media Center was silent.
