Attention to all knitters and others who would like to donate. We are collecting hats, scarves, gloves and mittens for ABCD – Action for Boston Community Development – this week and all remaining weeks of the Market (through March 14). You do not have to MAKE these items, but if you are inclined, they would be very welcome. ABCD’s Chris Sieber reports,”We can indeed use hats and other items of outerwear. We distribute them to children who show up without hats to Head Start classrooms, to elders, and to the families who call our fuel assistance hotline. They are much needed and very much appreciated by recipients-hand-knitted items especially send such a personal, caring message.”
