Although requests for assistance increased by 30% over last year, contributions from Wayland residents also increased and the WCF was able to make it through the winter. Since last July the WCF received thirty-one requests for help. As expected, thirteen of these requests were for assistance with utility bills. The remainder were for rent, food and other items.
Wayland residents who need financial help are encouraged to call the Wayland Community Fund hotline at 508-358-3624.
