Electronics Collection to Benefit Jane Goodall Institute

rootsshootsStill have every cell phone you’ve ever owned since 1985 cluttering up your basement? Well, now’s your chance to get rid of them all, while also helping to raise money for the Jane Goodall Institute. From April 11 to 18, there will be collection boxes around town for old cell phones, smartphones, iPods, iPads, chargers, and other hand-held electronics. This effort was initiated by Wayland High School junior Anne Flaherty as part of her volunteer efforts with the Root & Shoots Youth Leadership Program, part of the Jane Goodall Institute. There will be collection boxes located at the Town Building, Public Safety Building and the three elementary schools
