Old Connecticut Path in Wayland will be closed for several hours this afternoon between West Plain Street and Stonebridge Road.
The police and fire departments are currently at 352 Old Connecticut Path, where a number of potentially dangerous, unidentified, chemicals have been found. These old chemicals were found in the home when it was being cleaned out by a relative.
Out of an abundance of caution, the area has been secured and the state’s hazmat team has been dispatched to assist in the proper disposal of the chemicals.
Motorists are asked to find an alternate route and detail officers have been assigned to help reroute traffic.
