- Wayland Library (but they note on their website: “The bricks and mortar library will be closed Monday, 2/8, due to the snowstorm. Try downloading a book from Hoopla or OverDrive on this snowy day!”)
- Longfellow in Wayland has cancelled all classes at Lumina and all group exercise classes (except for Teresa’s classes at 8:15am and 9:30am).
Note from the Wayland Fire Department: When the storm hits, please stay off the roads if at all possible so emergency services and plow/sanding crews can work.

Winter is gearing up for a one-two punch with yet another winter storm. At Eversource were prepared for todays snow storm. We want you to be prepared too.
If you experience an outage, please call 800-592-2000 or go to www.eversource.com to report it. It’s important that you report an outage even if you think your neighbors may have already reported it. The more information we have, the better we are able to improve our assessment of damage and make repairs.
Important Safety Reminders:
- If you see a downed power line, always assume it is live; do not go near it, and never drive over the line.
- If you use a generator, follow all safety precautions and be sure it is ventilated properly.
- If you use a cell phone, be sure to conserve your power.
- If you experience an outage, food in your refrigerator will keep for 6 to 9 hours, and food in your freezer will keep between 36 and 48 hours. It will help to minimize the number of times the door is opened.
- Clear gas appliance vents of snow and ice buildup. If you smell natural gas leave your home immediately and call your gas utility, or 911.
- For information on emergency disaster services, including shelters, please call 211 or your local emergency officials.
