Natick Summer Concert Series

Each summer the Natick Recreation and Parks department, along with local sponsors, put on a free series of concerts on the Natick Common. These performances take place on Monday nights from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Cancellations will be posted after 5pm at 508-647-6530

June 15 Ice Cream Social featuring 4EverFab. The first of this years series of Concerts on the Green (sponsored by Cambridge Trust Company and brought to you by the Recreation Department) will feature 4EverFab, a band that covers all areas of the Beatles. 4EverFab will play songs by request, and tell stories about select songs, including their origins, influence and history. Come early for the ice cream social – free ice cream and games for the kids starting at 6pm.
June 22 Retro Polatin. Come out and enjoy this high-energy four piece dance band. Retro Polatin plays vintage rock and roll that promises to make your toes tap, your fingers snap and above all, put a smile on your face. With a huge song list of 50’s and 60’s hits, the band has just the right mix to keep you dancing.
June 29 Specific Gravity. Although the term “specific gravity” is a scientific term for measuring elements and relative density, in this case, Specific Gravity relates to the elements that make the music and their individual contributions. This band covers multiple genres and bands such as REM, J Geils, Talking Heads, Tom Petty, Weezer, Marcy Playground, Cake, and Prince.
July 1 Friday Night Flicks. Save the dates! Our first Friday Night Flick of the year will be held on July 1st. This year, we will show free movies July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Once we have determined which movies to show, we will publish a community event for each showing. Admission is free and the movies will start at sundown (about 8pm).
July 6 Squeezebox Stompers. Performing Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Americana Music, Squeezebox Stompers will bring Bourbon Street to Weston. Squeezebox Stompers incorporates accordion, lap steel, fiddle, and mandolin among other instruments. “Listening to the Squeezebox Stompers is like taking a walk through the streets of the French Quarter” -Brett Cromwell, Lowell Sun.
July 13 Jumpin’ Juba. Hand-made music, presented live and in real time. Jumpin’ Juba plays a mix of roots-y rock & roll, blues and Americana music. On stage, Juba adds many a re-arranged R&B classic to their sets and re-awakens the power and joy of honky-tonk and boogie-woogie.
July 20 Tom Nutile Band. Returning to the Concerts on the Green series after a small hiatus, the Tom Nutile Big Band is one of the region’s premier swing bands. Its 15-piece ensemble has roots back to 1945 and the height of the swing era. Tom Nutile Big Band mixes popular songs from the 1930s and 40s with songs from the 21st century, including Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, the Mingus Big Band, and Harry Connick, Jr.

 

Wellesley. Wednesday evenings at 7pm on the Town Hall Green. Hot dogs, drinks and snacks sold by the Rotary Club.
