Fitness Walk and Competitive Walk for Non-Runners, Plus Kids’ Fun Run. 20th Annual Event Takes Place September 18

The 5-kilometer Dudley Pond Run goes over a picturesque course that’s challenging for runners at all levels. But there’s action for people who don’t want to run at all.

The noncompetitive fitness walk is a great choice for non-runners.

“The noncompetitive fitness walk is fun and self-paced with the goal of moving and enjoying the beauty and charm of the pond. There will be guidance on how to warm up and cool down as well as tips on how to make your walk a richer fitness experience,” says leader Sylvia Greene of Passion to Move.

For those who want to walk faster, there’s competitive 2-mile walk. Some competitive walkers push it fast. Others treat it as a leisurely stroll, so it’s great for everyone.
