Beginning Sunday, Sept. 18th, our guest will be Jorge Pazos, Wayland’s newly appointed Director of Information Technology. As you probably recall, in January 2015, foreign hackers were thwarted in their attempt to steal $4-million from a Town of Wayland bank account, thanks to an alert bank employee. That close call exposed Wayland’s rudimentary security infrastructure and vulnerability to attack. Jorge presented a status report to the Selectmen on September 7th.
