Sudbury Valley Trustees is pleased to welcome Dr. Jonathan G. Way, Ph.D to share his knowledge and research on coywolves, also known as the eastern coyote. Learn more about how the coywolf evolved as a mix of western coyote, eastern wolf, gray wolf, and dogs. “Eastern coyotes/coywolves serve an important ecological, spiritual, and aesthetic role in the Northeast and I hope that this talk shows the positive side of these animals and why the general public should be thrilled to have a medium-sized predator amongst us,” says Way. , an account of his experiences studying eastern coyotes in Massachusetts, and an upcoming book on the coywolf, Dr. Way is the founder of Eastern Coyote/Coywolf Research. His mission is to provide long-term ecological and behavioral research on coywolves and promote the [their] appreciation, acceptance and protection.
