Wayland schools chief seeks 2.4 percent budget increase

Wayland Town Crier 12/15/16: Wayland schools chief seeks 2.4 percent budget increase. Superintendent Paul Stein is recommending a $38.6 million school budget for the upcoming school year that he says will maintain the current level of services and add new initiatives. That figure is up 2.39 percent over the current year’s $37.7 million spending plan and meets the Finance Committee’s guideline for a maximum 2.5 percent increase in the townwide budget, Stein said at a budget forum Thursday night.
