The Weston Friendly Society proudly presents the Spring 2017 production of Fiddler On the Roof

“The classic heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter.”- www.broadway.com

Set in the little village of Anatevka, this beloved, award-winning musical is based on stories by Sholem Aleichem with music by Broadway legends Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. The story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, his wife Golde, their five daughters and the entire tight-knit community in which they live as they fight to maintain traditional values in the face of changing social norms and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. This score is famous for such recognizable tunes as “To Life”, “Matchmaker”, “If I were a Rich man” and “Tradition”.

Based on Sholem Aleichem’s stories, by special permission of Arnold Perl
