OARS’ Water Wise Workshops : Back for the 12th Summer, July 6-August 12

oarsFree, hands-on, waterside workshops for children ages 6-10
July 6th – August 12th

This series of six free workshops offers children ages 6-10 an opportunity to learn about the environment in an outdoor waterside setting. Through fun hands-on activities, demonstrations and lively group discussions, children are encouraged to explore the fascinating world of water and learn new ways of protecting it for all the creatures that depend on it. Hands-on activities that fascinate this age group include testing water, using microscopes to examine “who” lives in the water, building watersheds, exploring watershed maps, and taking photographs of what they see. Exploration using games and some arts & crafts activities are also included.
