Wayland Town Crier 12/12/13: Selectmen vote for same tax rate for residents and businesses. The Board of Selectmen on Monday night voted unanimously to retain a uniform tax rate for both residents and businesses.
Prior to making its decision, the board listened to a presentation by Susan Rufo, chairwoman of the Board of Assessors. If a split rate were adopted, businesses would pay significantly more than homeowners.
