Spots Remaining in Summer Recreation Programs!

recreationThe Wayland Recreation Department is offering a variety of exciting programs this summer to a wide range of ages. With the start of summer quickly approaching, spots are beginning to fill up and we wanted to inform you all of the programs that still have availability. Please see the following schedule for program dates and descriptions.

Week of June 22:

Summer Ceramics- Week-long wheel thrown and hand built pottery class. Learn all the basics of expand your skills.

Fee: $290 Age: 11-17 Time: Mon-Fri 3:00-6:00pm

Week of June 29:

Jedi Master Engineering with LEGO- Build complex machines and structures based on the best designs from a galaxy far, far away! Projects include LEGO X-Wings, AT-AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities, etc.

Fee: $152 Age: 8-11 Time: Mon-Thurs 1:30-4:30pm

Behn Basketball for Girls- Teaches fundamentals to raise individual play and make the game enjoyable and rewarding. Run by WHS Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Amanda Cosenza.

Fee: $170 Age: 6-15 Time: Mon-Thurs 9:00am-12:00pm

Boating for Teens- Teen Camp focuses on boating skills and safety, leadership, and team building. They will even be certified in First Aid & CPR by the American Red Cross.

Fee: $1,199 Age: 13-15 Time: June 29-July 24 (4 weeks) 9:00am-4:00pm

Week of July 6:

Boys Basketball- Run by WHS Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Dennis Doherty

Fee: $165 Age: Grade 4-8 Time: Mon-Fri 8:30am-2:30pm

Football Clinic- Looking for young, eager football players excited to learn the game and improve their skills. Run by WHS Varsity Football Coach

Fee: $200 Age: Grade 2-8 Time: Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm

Track & Field: Beyond Basics-Learn the many events involved in the dynamic Track and Field sport.

Fee: $212 Age: Grade 3-8 Time: Mon-Fri 8:30am-2:00pm
