On Tuesday, November 24, at 7:30pm in the Senior Center of the Town Building, Moderator Dennis Berry will be holding his regular Town Meeting Feedback session. This is an opportunity for anyone who attended, watched or just read about the recent Special Town Meeting to provide feedback, commentary, and suggestions for improvement on our Town Meeting practice. The format is largely unstructured and his intention is to listen more than speak in order to hear your comments or criticisms.
One key new aspect of this Special Meeting was the extensive use of slides for motions and amendments. We learned some things and know that some practices could have been improved. Your input on how this could be better handled will be most welcome. The Moderator has received suggestions aimed at improving the pace of town meeting in general and install a better structure, and will be discussing these ideas with attendees.
