Free Sunday afternoon Intergenerational Holiday Concert, December 13 at Rivers School Conservatory

GoldenTones_goldTwo generations of singers will present a free public holiday concert on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 3pm, in Rivera Recital Hall, at The Rivers School Conservatory, 333 Winter Street, Weston. The Rivers School Conservatory’s Capriccio Chorus and Golden Tones chorus will each present favorite musical selections, and will also combine vocal forces for several joyous pieces arranged specifically for multi-generational interplay. The collaboration will include a piece with the familiar text “Dona Nobis Pacem,” but set to a beautiful new melody. A reception will follow.

Capriccio Chorus, conducted by Susan Emmanouilidis, is a performing chorus for students ages 10 through 15 at The Rivers School Conservatory in Weston. In addition to vocal training, RSC serves over 900 children and adults with private instruction as well as many ensembles including: five orchestras, chamber music, jazz studies, wind ensemble, and more.

The award-winning Golden Tones chorus, now in its 28th season, is renowned nationally for demonstrating healthy active singing seniors on CNN’s Accent Health program, and locally, for bringing uplifting concerts to locations throughout its own MetroWest Boston community. During the month of December, the chorus will also present 10 concerts, primarily in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice and memory care settings, and for others who need a lift in their lives.

Golden Tones chorus is audition-free and welcomes new singers of retirement age anytime! To learn more, visit goldentones.org or call 508-318-6318.
