Have you ever been concerned about a friend or family member’s relationship, but didn’t know what to say? Join the Roundtable to learn the warning signs of an abusive relationship and how to support a loved one in an unhealthy relationship.
The program will take place on Thursday evening October 6 at 7pm in the Raytheon Room at the Wayland Public Library. It is free and open to the public. Featured speakers will be Jessica Teperow and M.J. Wright.
Jessica Teperow is the Director of Prevention Programs for REACH Beyond Domestic Violence. Prior to coming to REACH, Jessica worked in the field of sexual assault and domestic violence prevention for the past sixteen years in Boston, Washington D.C, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Jessica graduated from American University with a Bachelor’s in Women and Gender Studies with a concentration in sexual assault and domestic violence prevention. She has used her academic research on different violence prevention methods and curricula to create and implement dating and sexual violence programming with colleges, universities, middle and high schools, and juvenile probation programs.
M.J. Wright has been a librarian at the Wayland Public Library since 1994. M.J. has been on the Speaker’s Bureau for REACH Beyond Domestic Violence to share her personal experience as a survivor from domestic abuse. She is currently involved with a faith-based ministry for domestic abuse survivors called Hagar’s Sisters.
